Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count

Last night, a small group of volunteers participated in the Greater Los Angeles homeless count. From 8:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., we collectively drove every street in the city of Torrance. We cataloged homeless individuals, vehicles being used for housing, and makeshift structures.

The purpose of this was to ensure that the city of Torrance receives proper funding from the county of Los Angeles.

Of course, we did see a few friends along the way.

It was a rewarding evening and together we ensured that the city of Torrance will have the resources it needs to address homelessness in our community.
